ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
NEVŞEHİR HACI BEKTAŞ VELİ UNIVERSITY located in Cappadocia region which has been home to many civilizations throughout history, where nature and history integrates, was founded on 17 May 2007. Nevsehir Haci Bektaş Veli University is a university with a high level of self-confidence and awareness that aims to transform and enrich its cultural heritage, and to convert it to technology and added value by using it for the benefit of society. Nevsehir Haci Bektaş Veli University, is moving rapidly towards being one of the most important universities in Turkey with a large academic staff based on scientific activities, with more than 20 thousand students as of 2018, and with its physical and social facilities. Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University continues its academic activities with 8 faculties, 8 vocational schools, 3 colleges, 3 institutes and 8 research and application centers in 7 different campuses one of which is the main campus. The university is completing its physical structure rapidly with its original campus architectural design and closed area of 208,800 square meters. Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University which aims to be a university at international level and in line with this goal, our university has become a university with label of ”Diploma Supplement” and “ECTS” known as the "Certificate of Excellence" internationally, which are given to universities which meet requirements by European Commission. Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University has very convenient transportation and accommodation opportunities. In Nevşehir city center, there are 3 female student dormitories with a total capacity of 2975 people and 2 male dormitories with a total capacity of 988 people. In districts, there are 4 dormitories with a capacity of 1193 students and 3 dormitories with a capacity of 603. There are also numerous private dormitories and apartments near our campuses.
