ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Bayburt University was established on May 31, 2008. As one of the youngest universities in Turkey, Bayburt University's mission is not only to prepare students as a leader in a responsible life who produces, shares, offers information for the benefit of the society, but also to develop social, cultural and economic gains of the people of the region and country through high quality education, research and service programs. Bayburt University aims to be one of the world-renowned universities in education, research and service, to provide rare opportunities for students' learning and personal development, and to be the address of a unified academic community and student-centered research address having the responsibility of improving quality of life for people of the region and country. In 2008, our closed physical areas, which was 6,400 m2 total, reached approximately 50,000 m2 as of 2015, at the end of a rapid structuring process. In Dede Korkut Complex which is located in the city center, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Theology, Vocational School of Health Services, Rectorate, Administrative Building, Library, Cafeteria and Central Student Dining Hall are located; in Bâberti Complex in the city center, Bayburt Faculty of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Applied Sciences, School of Physical Education and Sports, Institute of Social Sciences, Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Vocational School of Social Sciences, Vocational School of Justice, Library, Cafeteria and Central Student Dining Hall are located. In addition, Demirözü Vocational School and Aydıntepe Vocational School are serving in two counties and there are cafeteria, central student cafeteria and dormitory facilities at these two Vocational Schools.

In our University, there are 9 Faculties and, 5 Vocational School.
