ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Konya Food and Agriculture University (KGTU) campus, which was founded in 2013 with the slogan "Transforming Information into Product", is designed on 160,000 m2 area and is located in one of the most central points of Konya, at 10-minute walk distance from high-speed railway station. KGTÜ was established with the support of Turkey's leading industrial corporations, Konya Şeker A.Ş and Anadolu Birlik Holding support; with Turkey’s and world's leading university academic staff adopting a practice-oriented education model with the industry. Our university offers its students the opportunity to have a considerable experience in their field before graduating. KGTÜ carries out projects supported by European Union, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Ministry of Health, TÜBİTAK and private sector and focuses on creating infrastructure for the production of high dependency products especially to manufacture in our country where local resources are used and employment is increased. In accordance with the education model implemented by KGTÜ, students first settle in common programs under the faculties, and after studying the common courses for 3 semesters, students can choose their departments according to their wishes and preferences. According to this; Students who settled in Engineering Programs under Faculty of Engineering and Architecture can choose Computer Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Food Engineering departments; Students settled in the Industrial Engineering and Genetics and Life Sciences Programs under the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences can choose departments of Plant Production and Technologies and Molecular Biology and Genetics; students who are settled in Economic and Administrative Programs under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities can choose departments of International Trade, Business and Economics.
